How many of us have a 2021 diary which, because of the ongoing restrictions and repeated exhortations to stay home, is still pristine and unused?

This third lockdown means our normal routines have been disrupted. I wonder if you too find yourself unable to work out which day of the week it is? The only regular occurrence is bin day!

28th January, 6pm

Thursday Talks

Hopefully Jesmond Library can help restore a rhythm to your days with the return this week of our popular Thursday talks, now continuing online.

We have an exciting and varied schedule of speakers coming up, with subjects ranging from culture to climate change, from financial planning to local affairs.

First up on 28th January 2021 is Keith Jewitt with part one of ‘A Bluffer’s guide to Dante’.

Be sure to put the date in your diary – every Thursday at 6pm.

Contact events@jesmondlibrary.org for your Zoom invitation.

Donations welcome

Do you enjoy our online events programmes? Jesmond Library is wholly volunteer run and funded so, if you can, please consider making a donation through

We would suggest £3 per event, but the amount is entirely up to you!
