Part of display, Jesmond WI

The clocks have been altered. Evenings are darker. Days are cooler. Autumn is changing into winter.

Change has been much on our minds these last few weeks, but in particular climate change.

There are six days remaining of the designated Action Month which the Library has hosted in partnership with Jesmond Women’s Institute and Extinction Rebellion.

Please do take the time to examine the cabinets in the entrance porch as well as the display in the main room.

We also have a special collection of books to ensure all ages can continue to explore this important subject further.

Wellbeing for Life

The Wellbeing For Life session on Wednesday 6th November, 10am, will welcome children from West Jesmond School to share their insights on climate change. Young and old working together. It promises to be a thought provoking morning.

Thursday evening Talk

On Thursday 7th November at 6pm Neil Murphy of TOWN. will be talking about ‘People powered places’ and Marmalade Lane, the development which recently won the RIBA East Award

Ideas shared by  visitors

You can still visit the Climate Change Exhibition during normal library opening hours this Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

You may even catch sight of Dodi the Dodo. Now that’s something you don’t see everyday!
