The Philosophy Reading Group, which has about 12 members, meets from 5pm – 7pm, on the first Tuesday of each month during the academic term.

We agree a philosophical text to read and one of us volunteers to lead the discussion. We normally study a particular text for 3 or 4 sessions.

The text we are currently discussing is Voltaire’s Candide.

We welcome new members whatever their experience of studying philosophy.
