The March Challenge

As part of our engagement in the National Year of Reading 2026, we are setting a new challenge each month. The March challenge #BookCharacter was for our younger members to draw their favourite character from their favourite book.

It also tied in nicely with World Book Day on 5th March when children are encouraged to go to school dressed up as a character from a book.

The Winners

We received almost 50 entries from ages 2 through to 11. Choosing a winner was a challenge in itself! Fortunately, due to the generosity of the Trustees, we were able to offer several prizes. Even so, narrowing such wonderful entries down to just a few winners was very difficult – we loved them all!
