‘Dippy on tour’

The schools have broken up and the holidays are upon us. 

If you need inspiration for local places to visit, take a look at our current display table. We have a selection of books from our Local Interest section about nearby towns and villages, including some about the wonderful Jesmond Dene. 

Just a leisurely 20 minutes stroll from our doors, the Great Museum of the North is hosting ‘Dippy on Tour’, the Natural History Museum’s iconic Diplodocus skeleton cast.

On a rainy day, come take shelter inside the library. We’ve plenty to keep your little ones busy, including Summer Craft sessions on 13th and 20th August.

And we have books! Books to inspire, to inform and to thrill. Lose yourself in a good book and you never know where you will end up.
