We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from Suez Communities Trust for the first phase of our project to replace the windows in the main library room.

Library users will have noticed that the 50 year old windows are currently in a sorry state with many cracked and some of the frames corroded. We plan to replace them all with new double glazed units which will be more energy efficient and make the room warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

The grant of £18,000 from Suez, who provide funding through the landfill tax credits scheme, will allow us to install two new window units, and we will then embark on further fundraising to complete the project. We hope the Suez funded work will be carried out during the coming summer.
