Autumn Term at Jesmond
The summer holidays are over, September is here at last, and children are heading back to school.
Here at Jesmond Library we too are looking forward to the autumn term.
We have an exciting range of events planned for the months ahead. The printed programme for September/October is now available for collection from the Library desk – come in and get your copy.
In the meantime here is a sample of what is on offer:
Current Affairs discussion; Drama; Language conversations – Italian, German, Spanish and English; Photography; Play reading; Poetry; Wellbeing for Life
Further details, including up to date information of new bookings or cancelled events, can be found on our What’s On page or ask for more information at the Library.
Where events are organised by individuals and organisations (not by our volunteers) do please contact them direct for more information.
Meditation, Mindfulness and Philosophy – please contact the group leaders in advance, their email details are given in the programme.
The following links may also be helpful:
SSWAG – Swagbag Stories Writers and Artists Group
Soroptomists – meeting twice monthly
WEA – Art Appreciation and Literature
There is a full range of activities to interest our younger members, from Story & Song, to French and Spanish, to music and movement, to Scrabble.
Our ever-popular Thursday Talks return on 19th September at 6pm with ‘The Horse Keeper’s Daughter’.
Always fascinating, and with an interesting array of subject matter and speakers, these evenings are excellent value.
