It’s Christmas!

The decorations are up and we’re delighted to say the children’s Christmas books are back on the shelves and already being eagerly borrowed and read.

This year we have craft packs available in the Library for our younger visitors to take away and make at home. There are three sets in total, each contains all that is needed for children to create a Christmas window collage – just add glue and sticky fingers! Recommended for ages 3-8, but suitable for anyone who wants to have a go.

All monies raised from the packs will go to the Library’s Last Chapter window fund, with a suggested donation of £5 per pack.

Christmas isn’t just for children!

For older children and adults who are looking for some Christmas cookery and craft inspiration we have books to inspire you too.

For sewing enthusiasts we have a book of Christmas cross-stitch designs. For crafters we have a book offering practical Christmas gift ideas to make yourself. If you’re looking for a Scandinavian flavour to your Christmas we have books for that too. Another book contains craft projects for the home.

If cookery is your thing then try a taste of Mary Berry’s Christmas collection, or challenge yourself to the Great British Bake Off Christmas.

Young and old we have something for you at Jesmond Library this Christmas.
