Room Hire

Both the main room and the two community rooms (Catherine Cookson room downstairs, and Sid Chaplin room upstairs and without disabled access) are available for hire, seven days a week. (The main room is only available for hire outside normal library opening hours). The charge for the two community rooms is £10 per hour and for the main room £20 per hour (including any time needed for moving furniture).

Main room

Bookshelves, tables, chairs and even the reception desk can be moved to make use of the space in the main room for events. The library has a PA system for use in the main room and audiovisual display facilities which can be used in the main room and in the Catherine Cookson room.

Room capacity: 60 with main doors closed, 100 with main doors open (for fire safety).
