Jesmond resident, Christopher Souter, recalls the varied history of his and his family's business through two World Wars to the 1970s and its cessation of trading then.

Charles Linaker tells teh story of George and Weedon Grossmith, best known as the authors of "Diary of a Nobody".  Both were celebrated actors - George creating many of the leading comic roles in the operas of Gilbert & Sullivan.
