Thursday Talk – Churchill’s Secret Army

In 1940 Britain stood alone. The BEF had been rescued from the beaches but an invasion seemed inevitable. Eden had called for volunteers who would become immortalised as Dad’s Army but there was another force, an army of the shadows, a secret militia dedicated to resisting the Nazis. For half a century their story remained classified. So this is about what might have been and we are very lucky it never was.
