We are very excited to be opening our doors again.

From Tuesday 13th April we will be open for a total of four sessions each week:

  • Tuesday afternoon 2-4
  • Thursday afternoon 2-4
  • Saturday morning 10-12
  • Saturday afternoon 2-4

Our volunteers have been working hard to make sure everything is ready for the reopening. Things may feel a little different, but our volunteers will explain the guidelines which have been put in place to protect all our library users, including:

  • Track & Trace requirements;
  • face masks are required;
  • hand sanitiser is provided;
  • there will be a limit to how many are allowed into the building at the same time.

Computers and Photocopying

The People’s Network Computers will be available, including for printing and photocopying.

Jigsaws

We now have a jigsaw swap-shop which is proving very popular.

Books

We have plenty of lovely new books on display. Come inside to browse the shelves and choose something for yourself.

Click & Collect

But if you prefer to collect your reserved books from the Library porch, our Click & Collect service will still continue. Choose from the online catalogue, email your request to enquiries@jesmondlibrary.org and, providing the book is in stock, it will be available for collection at the door.

Bring them home!

Do you have any of our books still out on loan? Please do bring them back to their Library home – either during the time when the doors are open, or simply pop them through the letterbox in the back lane. (We have temporarily suspended overdue charges.)
