Books on Tyne – The Newcastle Book Festival

23rd to 30th November 2019

For one week in late November each year the Lit & Phil and Newcastle Libraries co-host the small but beautifully formed Books on Tyne Festival.

This year the programme covers a wide range of subjects from Rock music, Bonaparte, Nietzsche, witches, crime and science.

There are book readings by their authors, a 300th celebration of Robinson Crusoe, conversations with writers both local and national, poetry readings and a family book day.

Keith Jewitt, Lit & Phil, 26 Nov

Just as you are getting ready to think about Christmas presents and that winter reading list, you can meet the author, learn more about the thinking behind their books and have a copy signed before you buy it.

Early booking is recommended.

Programmes are available here in Jesmond Library, or you can view a copy on the festival site here: www.booksontyne.co.uk
